Spårvägsforum's fall edition returned in 2022 with a bang, and for the first time the event was completely sold out to the last place and then some. This time the light rail world gathered in Uppsala for two days filled with seminars and networking.
The confusion around the upcoming tramway in Uppsala was of course particularly interesting for the participants. We spent most of the first day with lectures and tours focusing on this. The day then continued with international perspectives from both Canada and Scotland, followed by a talk on light rail efficiency.
The networking dinner was held in central Uppsala, where we were welcomed by representatives from the city council.
Day 2 started started with us learning experiences from the introduction of the tram train in the UK, followed by talks on the track factor, road safety and some technical talks. Just before lunch, we also received an appreciated greeting from the new deputy mayor of Stockholm welcoming us to the city in 2023.
