Spårvägsforum Helsinki 2026

 

1–2 December 2026, Helsinki

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Helsinki for Spårvägsforum 2026!

The forum will bring together colleagues from across the light rail and tramway sector for two days of site visits, presentations, discussions and networking.

 

Pre-event – Monday, 30 November

For those arriving in Helsinki the day before the conference, we are organising an informal gathering aboard SpåraKOFF, Helsinki's well-known pub tram, followed by a dinner at Flou.

 

This is an optional and relaxed opportunity to meet other participants before the official programme begins.

Further information regarding meeting point and time will be shared closer to the event.

 

Tuesday, 1 December

We will start with a tram ride across Helsinki's new Kruunusillat / Crown Bridges, followed by a visit to Roihupelto Metro Service Centre, where participants will have the opportunity to visit maintenance workshops for both trams and metro trains.

​

After the study visits, lunch will be served, followed by presentations and discussions at Hotel Mestari.

​

In the evening, we will gather for networking and a conference dinner at Kellotorni, a historic event venue located in Helsinki Central Railway Station.

Wednesday, 2 December

The forum continues with presentations, discussions and networking throughout the day.

A detailed programme, including speakers, presentation times and session themes, will be shared separately.

Accommodation

We have reserved a limited number of rooms at Hotel Mestari for participants attending Spårvägsforum.

Rates per night:
Standard single room: EUR 113
Standard double/twin room: EUR 133

The rates include buffet breakfast and VAT.

Participants book, guarantee and pay for their own accommodation directly through the hotel.

Rooms are subject to availability.

Each individual reservation can be cancelled or changed up to 24 hours before check-in. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged to the credit card used to guarantee the reservation.

Getting around Helsinki

Helsinki has an extensive tram and public transport network, and the forum locations are easily accessible by public transport.

We recommend using the HSL app for tickets and journey planning.

​

Practical information

For the site visits, we recommend comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for Helsinki weather in early December.

Any specific safety requirements or protective equipment needed for the site visits will be communicated in advance.
