About Norrköping
Stockholm, Sweden's capital, is a city spread over 14 islands linked by over 50 bridges, giving it a unique waterfront charm. Known for its mix of modern innovation and historic architecture, Stockholm has a rich cultural heritage with landmarks such as the Royal Palace, Old Town and the Vasa Museum. The city is a hub for design, technology and sustainability and is often praised for its environmentally friendly urban planning and green areas. Stockholm's archipelago, which consists of around 30,000 islands, contributes to the city's natural beauty and offers countless opportunities for outdoor activities. Stockholm is also a center for education and innovation, with leading universities and a thriving startup scene. The city's public transport system, including the subway, buses and ferries, is known for being efficient and accessible, making it easy for residents and visitors alike to explore the city.
Visitors can easily travel to Stockholm by train or plane from the rest of the country and abroad, and if you prefer to drive, it's also perfectly fine as highway E4 connects the city to the south and E20 to the west. The last bit to Stockholmsmässan should be done with a commuter train that stops right next to the expo.
Venue - Stockholmsmässan
Stockholmsmässan is located in Älvsjö, a short train ride south of Stockholm. Here, Tramway Forum will be co-located with the larger Train&Rail event, which is convenient for those who want to visit both events.
Lodging
There are several hotels around the Stockholm Fair that suit different budgets. We do not have a special agreement with any hotel this time, but Scandic Talk is the closest hotel (in the same premises). Book directly through Scandic by clicking here or use any travel agency.
If you prefer to stay in the city center, it's about a 15 minute train ride away.
